Overview
Local Black Hills and Trail Addict are seeking a creative and self-motivated Content Creator to help showcase the people, places, and adventures that make the Black Hills special. This role involves capturing photos and video, writing blog content, and contributing to our growing digital presence across websites and social media.

Duties

Take high-quality photos and video of local businesses, events, and outdoor scenes for Local Black Hills, Trail Addict and Black Hills Things To Do.
Interact with local businesses to schedule product photos and blogs
Assist with content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other platform
Attend local events as needed
Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective content strategies that support overall marketing goals.
Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to ensure accuracy and relevance in all written materials.
Optimize content for SEO to improve visibility and search rankings, incorporating keywords effectively without compromising quality.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices in copywriting, and emerging technologies related to content creation and marketing automation.

Qualifications

Experience with photography and/or video production
Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, or a related field is preferred.
Interest in the outdoors, local culture, and community storytelling
Familiarity with social media platforms and online content trends
Strong understanding of content strategy and management principles.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and techniques for optimizing web content.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Must be based in or near the Black Hills or willing to travel locally
