Intern, PR & Social Intern at Makeup by Mario

Support PR & Social Media teams in driving best-in-class programs for new product launches and evergreen seeding programs. Assist in agency relationships in the US and globally for press, events, activations, MUA/Mario-relations, and social media.

PR and Communications

Assist Influencer & Communications Manager in relationships with external PR agencies (US and Global). Coordinate and note-take on weekly/bi-weekly PR meetings with PR agencies.
Manage evergreen and launch seeding addresses, shipping and one-off influencer & press sends.
Maintain all seeding, press and influencer internal trackers monthly.
Monitor a wide network (US and international) of content creators, influencers, industry leaders and partners who embody the culture and values of Makeup By Mario with a focus on color cosmetic authorities and key opinion leaders/brand ambassadors.
Assist PR team with event and experiential activation logistics and execution (e.g., guest experience, event layout/setup, agency and vendor communication, entertainment bookings, décor and scenic, asset creation, catering, etc.); production schedules and timelines; and post event ROI reporting.
Identify Micro and Mid-Tier content creators and opportunities to create content with lead MUA and/or Mario
Assist in logistics and executing local influencer and media events to deliver engaging experiences
Pull key metrics for reporting on key KPIs of Influencer and Editorial performance (in partnership with PR agencies) to measure against benchmarks, product performance and engagement
Function as a thought partner that generates strategic ideas for amplification and activations across all existing and first to market platforms
Work alongside with Influencer & Communications Manager to ensure influencers/content creators are being invited, gifted, etc.

Social Media

Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform social media strategies and stay ahead of the curve.
Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, professional, and on-brand manner.
Collaborate with the Social Media team to schedule, manage, and monitor the content calendar, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals.
Assist with social media performance research and analysis across all platforms to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Join social media strategy meetings, take detailed notes on key discussions, and provide insights or ideas to help drive campaign success

Requirements:

Required a minimum of 2-3 days in office/30 hours per week (subject to change)
1+ years of Communications, Influencer Marketing or Event/Agency experience
Bachelor’s degree
Beauty, Color Cosmetics, Skincare experience is required
Strong understanding of influencer landscape and beauty PR landscape
Ability to own and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal/written communications and presentation skills
Detail and process-oriented, organized, resourceful and proactive
Collaborative and positive team player
Strong understanding and experience of social media across all platforms
Strong PowerPoint skills; proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel; can work on MAC

Nice to Have:

Prior experience with Tribe Dynamics or Dash Hudson platforms
Experienced in TikTok Studio or CapCut
