Pabian Law is looking for a freelance content writer to join our growing team. We are looking for a creative person to gather provided information about immigration law and convert it into content that anyone can read, comprehend, and enjoy. If you have a knack for doing research, creative writing and are a pro at creating content that captures an audience, this is a great opportunity for you.

Position Description

The Content Writer will be responsible for creating original and engaging content that attracts and retains readers on immigration law topics through various platforms including our website, social media, articles, newsletters, handouts and other written client communications. This position will collaborate with the Founding Partner and other attorneys to collect information from government websites and alerts and transform the information into readable content for our clients.

Duties/Responsibilities

Develop original written content regarding immigration law topics in a variety of formats including but not limited to email communications, articles, handouts, newsletters, flyers and social media posts.
Create content that is clear and concise to engage readers and contribute to Pabian Law’s communication and marketing strategies.
Collaborate with attorneys to gather informative information that our clients need to be aware of and convert the message into content that is interesting to read while ensuring the message aligns with our brand.
Edit and proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
Responsible for enhancing text with graphics, images, and charts for visual effects.
Stay up to date with the latest immigration news to learn and understand the information our clients need so they gain the knowledge to navigate processes efficiently.
Act as an ambassador for the mission, values and standards of behavior of the firm.

Required Skills & Competencies

Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.
Ability to creatively simplify a lot of information ensuring that the message is clear, informative, and polite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills and comfort with technology.
Proven to be a planner, proactive, and pay attention to details.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience as a Creative Writer, Copywriter, Content Writer or a similar role.

Additional Information

As a Freelance Content Writer, you have the opportunity to create your own hours, work fully remote and work on projects as needed with given deadlines. This self-employed individual will be responsible for providing us with their rates for projects. Please be prepared to share your writing portfolio if you are selected for an interview.
