Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Copy Editor and Technical Writer to join our dynamic real estate marketing firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of language, exceptional editing skills, validation skills and the ability to craft compelling and technically accurate content tailored to the real estate industry. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing materials, technical documents, and client communications are clear, consistent, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Copy Editing

Review, proofread, and edit marketing content, including brochures, websites, email templates, listings, advertisements, blogs, and social media posts.
Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, is grammatically accurate, and adheres to marketing firm and real estate industry standards.
Collaborate with designers, web developers and content creators to ensure textual, visual and functional elements complement each other effectively.
Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style or APA Style Guide.
Conduct thorough fact-checking to ensure accuracy of information presented in all materials.

Technical Writing

Develop and maintain technical documents such as property manuals, client guides, and operational handbooks.
Write clear and concise process documentation for internal and client-facing use.
Research and synthesize real estate regulations and property features into user-friendly materials.

Content Creation and Strategy

Partner with marketing and sales teams to create compelling property descriptions, email content, and promotional materials.
Stay updated on real estate market trends to craft relevant and engaging content.
Optimize written content for digital platforms to maximize online visibility.

Quality Assurance

Maintain consistency in style, tone, and terminology across all content.
Verify the accuracy of all property details and data included in content.
Verify the functionality of all content found on websites, email templates and creative content

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in copy editing and technical writing, preferably in real estate or a related field.
Familiarity with real estate terminology, market trends, and industry regulations is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems (CMS).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing tools.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar, style, and tone.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
