The Content Creator focuses on uncovering and telling the compelling stories of our people, culture, and projects. This individual will play a vital role in capturing the voices and stories of our team, clients, and industry leaders to enhance our company’s newsletter, website, and social media presence.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

Schedule, conduct, and document interviews with internal employees, clients, partners, and other key stakeholders to craft compelling stories for internal and external audiences.
Develop engaging written, audio, and visual stories based on interview findings, highlighting company achievements, team culture, client success, and industry trends.
Write and contribute to the monthly company newsletter, ensuring content is informative, relevant, and resonates with both internal and external audiences.
Curate content for social media channels, focusing on telling authentic stories that increase engagement and align with our marketing strategies.
Partner with a photographer/videographer during site visits to gather complementary visual content; occasionally handle photography or video independently.
Work closely with all departments to track down information about projects and initiatives to ensure accurate storytelling.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and maintain a robust content calendar.
Organize and manage digital media files and documentation.
Support other marketing initiatives to promote Service Electric Company's mission and values.
Other projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in interviewing, content creation, or writing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Exceptional storytelling and writing skills.
Familiarity with photography and videography workflows.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their content requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport with team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with a diverse group of all levels of management both internally and externally.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed (occasionally independently).
