Rocket Launch Studio is seeking a Freelance Video Editor to assist with a range of projects including internal videos, marketing content, and client work. This is a remote, contract-based position with flexible hours and the potential for more consistent work over time.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Whether you're just starting out or already have experience, you’re encouraged to apply — as long as you’re committed, organized, and passionate about editing.

Key Responsibilities

Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
Organize footage: rename, sort, and manage files in folders
Review raw footage and select the best clips
Assemble cuts that align with a provided creative vision
Add music, basic graphics, titles, and transitions as needed
Incorporate feedback and deliver revisions promptly
Color correction and grading (basic skills preferred, but not required)
Collaborate remotely and communicate project updates clearly

What We’re Looking For

Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
Any level of experience — entry-level editors welcome
Strong organizational skills and file management
Willingness to receive feedback and grow creatively
Basic understanding of storytelling and pacing in editing
Bonus: After Effects and/or color grading experience

Requirements

Reliable access to a computer capable of editing high-resolution footage
Internet connection sufficient for downloading/uploading project files
Ability to manage your own time and hit deadlines
Must be open to working on different types of video content

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience with DaVinci Resolve for color grading
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interest in long-term freelance collaboration

This is a freelance/contract position with potential for growth. Pay is fair and flexible based on experience and project scope.

We are local to Atlanta, Georgia and meet as a team weekly and as needed during the work day EST.
