Job Description : The U.S. Parachute Association is searching for an individual to fill the position immediately. The Web Designer/Copywriter reports to USPA's Director of Communications. We are searching for an energetic and motivated self-starter who requires little supervision, thrives on teamwork, and can meet tight deadlines.

Reports To: Director of Communications

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Communications

Location: Onsite at USPA Headquarters in Fredericksburg, Virginia

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Create and maintain visually appealing and functional website designs
Assure designs are responsive and function seamlessly across various devices and browsers
Collaborate with other staff to gather requirements to understand project goals
Implement best practices for UI/UX design in user engagement
Conduct UI/UX testing aligning results with user requirements
Ensure consistent branding and color design throughout websites
Update and maintain website content through our DNN CMS
Write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy for website pages, blogs, and other sources as needed
Strategize content that align with SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility and resonate with target audiences
Edit and proofread new content as well as revise existing content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice
Optimize copy for search engines
Montior and analyze website traffic and user behavior to inform content strategies

Qualifications:

Experience with basic web design and copywriting.

1 - 3 years of experience with web design languages – CSS, HTML
Experience with content management systems (DNN a plus)
Critical troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Familiarity with SEO strategies and analytics tools

Education/Experience:

Degree or professional certification from accredited college or university in relevant field such as Web Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications.
Proven experience in web design and copywriting
Competent with the Microsoft Office software suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
