Overview
We are seeking a freelance and local New Jersey creative Video Editor to join our podcast. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging videos that tell compelling stories and resonate with our audience. You will work closely with the podcast host to ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. Responsibilities
- Edit audio files to ensure clear, high-quality sound and seamless transitions for podcast episodes.
- Edit video footage to create engaging YouTube content and short-form videos for Instagram and possibly other social media platforms.
- Add music, sound effects, captions, and graphics to align with the podcast's tone and branding.
- Optimize content for different platforms (audio for podcast hosting platforms, video for YouTube and social media).
- Collaborate with the host to meet project deadlines and deliver professional-grade content.
- Offer creative suggestions to improve the overall quality and engagement of the podcast.
Experience
- Proven experience in audio and video editing (please include a portfolio or samples of your work).
- Proficiency with editing softwares.
- Strong understanding of podcast editing techniques, including noise reduction, EQ, and sound balancing.
- Experience creating short-form video content for social media platforms like Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently while maintaining clear communication.
- Familiarity with podcasting trends.
