Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Assistant with proven social media expertise to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will support various marketing initiatives while focusing on developing engaging content, growing our social media presence, and assisting with digital marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns.
- Manage and grow the company’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
- Develop, schedule, and post engaging content across social platforms.
- Monitor social media analytics to track performance and provide actionable insights.
- Respond to social media interactions and manage community engagement.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to create visual assets for social media and marketing collateral.
- Research market trends, competitors, and audience preferences.
- Help with event coordination, promotional activities, and trade shows when applicable.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar).
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing strategies, and email marketing tools.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Creative thinking and a keen eye for visual design.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content creation, video editing, and photography.
- Knowledge of social media advertising.
- Understanding of analytics tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
