Our marketing agency client is looking for a SEO Director to join their team. This role will be hybrid and require you to come onsite at least 3 days a week to their office in Charlotte, NC. To be considered you must be within commuting distance to Charlotte or open to relocation.
The SEO Director should have experience leading a team and performing audits, optimizing content across web pages, and driving search rankings using deep knowledge in local SEO search while working in a fast-paced and results oriented environment.
SEO Director Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for enterprise projects (e.g., website migrations, international SEO)
- Responsible for the success and maintenance of 2-3 SEO Managers and their direct reports
- Oversee SEO team efficiency, create KPIs, and ensure project timelines are met
- Develop scalable systems and provide mentorship to SEO team members
- Lead technical SEO efforts (audits, tool integration, etc.) and optimize on-site/off-site elements
- Attend and present to clients and be the client-facing SEO expert
- Monitor KPIs and review client reports for accuracy and insights
- Optimize organic acquisition costs and improve SEO ROI
SEO Director Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of SEO experience preferably at an agency or professional services company
- Expert level knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, MOZ, ahrefs, etc.
- Experience with technical and non-technical SEO strategies
- Must have experience leading a team
- Ability to work on multiple different projects for multiple clients at a given time
