Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Copywriter to help elevate Bluemercury's brand through compelling, emotive storytelling that aligns with our luxury positioning. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure all written content reflects our brand’s voice, standards, and creative vision. You will play a key part in driving brand awareness, consistency, and engagement across multiple channels, from digital to in-store communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Storytelling: Develop emotive and impactful copy that captures Bluemercury’s luxury brand essence, while engaging customers in meaningful ways. Take the New Blue branding into the next chapter with deeper emotional connections to the consumers
- Channel Cohesion: Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and voice across all channels, including web, social media, email campaigns, in-store signage, and more. Understand the channels that reach the consumers and how they will be experienced. Create copy that work for the channel specifically while overall cohesively tell the same stories
- Creative Ideation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, and merchandising) to generate creative ideas for campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives. Identify areas of opportunities to amplify Bluemercury’s awareness.
- Brand Standards: Uphold Bluemercury's brand guidelines and help ensure that all content reflects the brand's elevated, luxurious identity.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor brands, and emerging content formats to bring fresh ideas into the creative process. Regularly review best-in-class copy in the marketplace and bring forward ideas for all consumer-facing assets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure content strategy aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of copywriting experience (preferably in luxury, beauty, or retail).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- A keen understanding of brand storytelling and the ability to translate a luxury brand’s essence into compelling copy.
- Familiarity with writing for digital platforms (website, social media, email) and print materials.
- A creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for luxury retail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing your writing skills and previous work.
