Job Overview
Sports Editor – Ludington Daily News
The Ludington Daily News, the 2023 Michigan Press Association Newspaper of the Year, is seeking a full-time Sports Editor to join our award-winning, close-knit staff. This role requires strong editing and reporting experience, along with graphic design and photography skills.
As part of Shoreline Media, this position not only leads sports coverage for the Ludington Daily News but also oversees and contributes to the sports sections of two weekly publications. The relatively small size of our newsroom necessitates that candidates be comfortable wearing many hats. In addition to contributing consistent sports coverage—including game stories, event coverage, features, and more—our Sports Editor is required to shoot photographs and do light graphic design work as assigned. Weekend work is required as needed for sports, news, event coverage, and pagination duties.
