Marketing Specialist – Burr Ridge, IL
A-Rent Test Equipment (a-rent.com), founded in Chicago in 2019, is focused on reliability of the electrical grid. We’re supporting America’s transition to renewable energy, electric vehicles, and a lower carbon future.
We rent specialized electrical test equipment used by our clients’ technicians nationwide to test switchgear, transformers, cables, and other electrical infrastructure. We own a multimillion-dollar fleet of brand-new test equipment from top OEMs (including Doble, Omicron, Megger, Fluke and HV Diagnostics) and use an advanced cloud-based ERP system to enable smooth rental logistics and asset management.
Our business is growing and we’re recruiting a Marketing Specialistto support and enhance our key marketing initiatives. The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment is vital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Learn A-Rent’s customer base, rental fleet, and industry terminology
- Create and execute paid and organic social media, email, and other targeted marketing campaigns
- Support the ideation, storyboarding, copywriting, and execution of video content creation
- Represent A-Rent at industry trade shows and events by setting up and disassembling booth materials and displays, handing out promotional items, and interacting with event attendees
- Add and maintain Customer and Contact data in the CRM, ensuring accuracy and system integrity
- Analyze company websites and LinkedIn profiles to accurately categorize businesses
- Identify key customers and contacts for targeted marketing and sales outreach
- Execute website content updates enhancement projects
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales departments to support customer growth initiatives
- Contribute to our overall team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed
The ideal candidate has at least 2 - 3 years of hands-on marketing experience, along with the following:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Experience with social media marketing and email marketing campaigns
- Experience with video marketing content creation
- Experience with tradeshows and promotional events
- Experience in CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Top candidates will also have:
- Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar)
- Experience in the electrical infrastructure industry
- Experience with CRM integrations and AI tools
This role is fully on-site, based at our Burr Ridge, IL location and will report to the Marketing Manager. This role has the potential for occasional travel (up to 20%) to visit other offices and/or attend national events.
Pay is $24 - $28 / hour, based on experience.
