POSITION PROFILE: Digital Content Manager

REPORTS TO: Director of Digital Media
STATUS: Salaried Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a Digital Content Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a content distribution strategy that includes the #1 YouTube channel in the NFL, the Chiefs Official website, and the Chiefs Official mobile app (digital platforms). Additionally, the candidate will focus on search engine optimization across all digital content and platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage strategy and distribution of content across all digital platforms, ensuring that it meets our brand guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with internal creative & production teams to develop content that is optimized for distribution across digital platforms.
- Work closely with the social media team to ensure that content is being shared and promoted effectively on all channels.
- Maintain an accurate content schedule that optimizes publishing times that are best for each platform.
- Monitor and analyze content performance and make recommendations for improvements to increase engagement and reach.
- Optimize content for SEO across all platforms, using keyword research and other SEO tools.
- Stay up to date on the latest SEO trends and best practices to ensure that our content and website are optimized at a high level.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in content distribution and creation.
- Experience managing a brand’s YouTube channel.
- Experience editing and optimizing videos and thumbnails for YouTube platform.
- Experience managing a brand’s website content and CMS/Backend system.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools, including keyword research and trends.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
NICE TO HAVES:
- Understanding of copyright management tools and YouTube Content ID systems.
- Understanding of YouTube content creators, execution of collaborations, and paid media across the platform.
- Understanding of content management for international brands
- Knowledge of basic web standards (HTML, CSS) and emerging technologies in the digital content space.
