The Digital Content Editor is responsible for producing, editing, and managing various digital content across multiple platforms. This includes editing videos, optimizing content for social algorithms, scheduling posts, and ensuring that all materials align with the brand's voice and marketing goals. The Digital Content Editor will work closely with the digital marketing team to drive engagement, improve online presence, and support content strategies.
Pay: $17/hr
Key Responsibilities:1. Content Creation & Editing
- Edit raw footage into high-quality videos optimized for social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Apply branding elements, captions, graphics, and special effects where necessary
- Ensure videos adhere to platform-specific guidelines (e.g., aspect ratios, length, and captions)
- Content Editing & Proofreading:
- Review and edit written content (blog posts, articles, captions) for grammar, clarity, and SEO
- Proofread content to ensure it’s consistent with the brand voice and style guide
- Apply algorithm strategies to video titles, descriptions, tags, and written content (using keywords, meta tags, etc.)
- Repurpose long-form content for different platforms (e.g., breaking down videos into shorter clips for social media)
2. Content Scheduling & Publishing
- Upload and schedule content on social media platforms and websites
- Ensure content is optimized for each platform (correct format, descriptions, hashtags)
- Content Calendar Management:
- Maintain and update a content calendar for consistent publishing
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure content deadlines and campaign timelines are met
3. Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Track performance of published content (views, likes, shares, comments) across various platforms
- Use analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Social media insights) to gauge the success of content
- Regularly report key performance metrics to Jake
- Suggest improvements based on performance data to optimize future content
4. Collaboration & Cross-Department Support
- Collaboration with Marketing Team:
- Work with Jake to align content with broader marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with designers for visual assets (thumbnails, banners, infographics)
- Assist with content creation for sales, customer service, and other departments as needed (e.g., FAQs, product promotions)
5. Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Stay Updated with Trends:
- Keep up with industry trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging tools to optimize content strategy
- Continuously test new content formats (interactive videos, polls, etc.) to improve engagement
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in video editing software. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects is required!
- Knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for both video and written content
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (Buffer)
- Creative & Organizational Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain brand consistency
- Creative approach to content production and repurposing
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media management.
- Knowledge of design tools like Photoshop & Illustrator

- Engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, retweets)
- Video views, watch time, and subscriber growth on platforms like YouTube and Instagram
- Website traffic generated from published content
- Consistency and adherence to the content calendar

- 9:30 - 10:00 ; Check weekend posts frontward facing analytics & comments
- 10:00 - 11:00 ; Check weekend post backend analytics
- 11:00 - 11:40 ; Report weekend post analytics into reporting sheet with detailed notes
- 11:40 - 12:00 ; Comment on other creators' videos to drive traction back to account & content
- 12:30 - 3:00 ; Create content with raw video from Jake that is post-ready
- 3:00 - 3:30 ; Post static/update content (I.E. Facebook posts, stories, word content)
- 3:30 - 3:45 ; Review content with Jake
- 3:45 - 4:15 ; Schedule content on Buffer with algorithm-driven hashtags and correct formatting with proper CTA’s if applicable
- 4:15 - 4:30 ; Properly adjust past videos to match those that have had a re-emergence or started as high-performing videos
- 4:30 - 5:00 ; Search and save trending topics and video trends
