Job Title: Social Media & Marketing Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Operations
Salary: $15-25/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Part-time, 20-25 hours/week, including some weekends and evenings for events
Location: Big Dog Ranch Rescue - 2557 Cross Keys Rd, Shorter, AL 36075
Position Overview: The Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing the shelter’s online presence, creating engaging content, and promoting adoptable animals, events, and fundraising initiatives. This role helps raise awareness, drive community engagement, and support the shelter’s mission through compelling storytelling and strategic digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Digital Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing and editing
content for Big Dog Ranch Rescue which will be published in all of our social media pages.
Moreover, you are expected to work simultaneously with the marketing team to maintain
consistency between marketing campaigns and content published. Candidates will also be
required to increase revenue and awareness by increasing adoptions, cultivating, corporations,
and peer-to-peer fundraisers.

Responsibilities
Document our daily rescue efforts on our Shorter, Alabama Campus
Adhere to a daily posting schedule across all social media which includes reels and static
posts.
Consistent monitoring of comments across social media and direct messages
Archive footage on BDRR internal drive.
Produce and edit high-quality video content suitable for all social media channels
including YouTube ensuring alignment with our core messages and mission.
Attend all major organizational events and participate in local community activities to
Capture and share impactful content.
Efficiency to deliver content in a timely manner.
Requirements
Experience as a content creator in prior roles creating strong and engaging content
Proficient in Cap-Cut, TikTok, Final Cut Pro, Instagram, and Facebook
Proven expertise as a videographer and editor in Final Cut Pro.
Exceptional storytelling skills, capable of crafting narratives that engage and motivate
across various digital platforms.
Proficient in video production and editing using Final Cut Pro.
Experience in handling and filming dogs, demonstrating a genuine love for animals.
Comfortable with physical activity and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Portfolio demonstrating previous successful projects in content creation.
Ability to work on spontaneous rescue missions
Ability to work weekends as needed with flex days off during the week
Must be available for an in-person working interview and provide professional references.
