Job Summary
CTIS, in partnership with Bravent, is seeking CMS Specialists to support the NYC Department of Education’s Website Modernization initiative. This role is critical to implementing and managing scalable, secure, and user-friendly content management systems that meet the evolving needs of students, families, and staff across New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) for the NYC DOE web ecosystem.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and content teams to support intuitive and accessible content structures.
- Integrate and configure web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager) to track performance and user engagement.
- Implement and maintain SEO strategies to optimize web visibility and search ranking.
- Establish and manage website backup procedures, security measures, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot CMS-related issues and support cross-functional teams with CMS functionality and training.
- Ensure compliance with DOE digital standards, accessibility (WCAG), and data privacy requirements.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla).
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles, analytics tools, and security best practices.
- Experience with CMS migrations, plugin/module customization, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and New York City public sector digital requirements is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
