About Mystic Barrels
At Mystic Barrels, we handcraft unique furniture and décor from authentic whiskey barrels, built to bring character and conversation to homes, patios, and businesses across the country. Since 2018, we've grown to be the leading manufacture of barrel furniture nationwide. As we grow, we’re looking to bring fresh energy, content, offers, and creativity to our marketing — and that’s where you come in.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative, motivated content creator to join our team. This is an opportunity to grow with us, take ownership of our content calendar, plan photo and video content, guide our email and social media presence, find and collaborate with local talent and studio spaces for additional filming opportunities, and play a key role in shaping how our brand shows up online.
You’ll be working alongside our founder and furniture craftsmen to plan, create, and share content that highlights the story, craftsmanship, and lifestyle behind our barrel furniture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborating with the founder to plan the upcoming content and promotion calendar for the business, as well as outline the email and digital content we need to edit or produce.
- Develop full video and email scripts for each content piece and work the logistical plan for capturing the content needed. Bringing creative ideas to the table to showcase our products in new ways. Staying up-to-speed on industry trends.
- Capturing high-quality photos and short-form video content of our products, workshop, and lifestyle setups.
- Editing videos for use across social media, website, and advertising with existing content and new content captured.
- Sourcing and coordinating local talent and locations for photoshoots.
- Leverage existing and new AI tools for brainstorming, AI video/audio effects, and for building efficiency into our editing process.
Who We’re Looking For
- Skills and experience in video creation, editing, and photography
- You’re organized, motivated, resourceful, collaborate well with others, and love seeing creative ideas come to life
- You enjoy working behind the scenes to tell stories through visuals
- You’re based locally and can work on-site at our shop when needed, as well as coordinate shoots around Pittsburgh. Editing and other activities can be done remotely.
- You want to grow your skills and be part of a small, passionate team
Bonus Points:
- Experience with lifestyle or product brands (furniture, home décor, etc.)
- Graphic design and/or social media management skills
- Comfortable being both creative on both sides of the camera
- Ability to learn and build our email marketing campaigns in Klaviyo.
