Job Overview
Jerry’s Artarama is seeking a creative and experienced Photo Editor with knowledge in product e-merchandising to work on product imagery for our e-commerce website. We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for processing and editing all product photos, as well as creating infographics and composite images for new product lines as well as existing product lines as needed.
Duties
- Process images from RAW format adjusting for exposure and color accuracy as needed
- Path out all product shots using Photoshop’s pen tool onto white backgrounds in PSD format
- Assist the photographer with set up and styling of product shots, lifestyle and in-use imagery
- Create composite images by arranging multiple images onto layers within one PSD such as for sets and packs
- Assist with creation of engaging imagery for e-commerce product page content
- Create relevant visually appealing layouts that communicate and showcase the features of our products to online customers
- Assist with physical organization and preparation of product samples
- File naming and management of images, graphics and other assets on an internal server
- Utilize photography and digital art techniques to enhance images
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to optimize use of imagery for products
- Receive feedback from key team members through our in-house review process and execute revisions as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in photoshop to continuously improve skills, efficiency and results
- Juggle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines as needed
- Take on tasks outside of immediate job description when requested
- Use project management software (Asana) to communicate and collaborate about each project
Experience and Skills
- Expert level experience in Adobe Photoshop
- Intermediate experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge
- Familiarity with Teams, Outlook, Asana, and/or similar organization tools
- Comfortable working with either Mac or Windows PC environments
- Some experience with layout design and visual design principles
- Excellent color acuity and organizational skills
- Portfolio showcasing previous work in photo manipulation is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to multitask and juggle several projects at once
- A keen eye for aesthetics and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or proven experience, including any certifications, workshops or continuing education
- Experience in studio photography and lighting is a plus
- Any experience or familiarity with art supplies is also a plus

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour depending on experience
