Video Content Creator
Location: All locations (Retail, Farm, and Warehouse)
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Works With: Managers, Assistants, Supervisors, Buyers, Team Members, Marketing Team
The role of the Video Content Creator is to create and manage weekly video content to meet the marketing needs across multiple platforms. This position helps cultivate passion for plants and creativity through engaging and meaningful storytelling across various digital platforms.
The Video Content Creator will produce and edit both long-form and short-form video content for marketing, advertising, promotion, training and educational purposes. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and professionalism to maintain brand standards, which is essential for delivering unique brand experience. Responsibilities are prioritized according to a hierarchy of tasks set by the Marketing Manager.
While the Video Content Creator is primarily responsible for video production, assistance from the Marketing Manager or a subcontractor may be required during video production. This position demands excellent organizational skills, effective time management, proactive communication, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in video content creation for various platforms.

Deliver a proven portfolio showcasing your ability to shoot and edit creative, engaging video content and photography for platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.

Showcase proficiency in creative software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.

Display ability to direct and engage individuals in front of the camera to capture desired content.

Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Maintain openness to receiving feedback and making necessary adjustments.

Must be comfortable working in both office and outdoor settings.

Possess strong copywriting skills.

Experienced in operating a drone, which is preferred but not required.
Essential Functions:

Work in varying weather conditions including hot, cold, wet or dry environments, and direct sun exposure.

Work on a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to, gravel, concrete, mud, or dirt.

Perform physical tasks including standing, squatting bending, lifting arms above the head, and lifting items up to 50lbs. Team lifting is required for items over 50 lbs.

Be available to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings, depending on the availability of the talent, video production needs, light levels and weather.

Stand and walk on your feet for multiple hours at a time with breaks as required by law.

Operate effectively in a high-paced setting involving various individuals and teams.

Additional Expectations:

Create and manage weekly video content to meet marketing needs across multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, internal resource pages, website, etc.).

Shoot and edit both long-form and short-form video content (YouTube videos, Shorts, Reels, etc.).

Stage and capture photography for products, including plants, pottery, and retail items, upon request.

Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and production teams to align content with events, promotions, product launches, and arrivals.

Stay updated on platform and software trends and best practices.

Develop concepts and scripts for video content.

Respond to emails and communicate effectively using Teams and other programs as directed by leadership.

Maintain awareness of upcoming events and promotions.

Collaborate with leadership and team members to ensure sound horticulture principles are clearly communicated through all media.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in shared workspaces during content creation.

Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
