BigDeal by Codie Sanchez explores the real stories and hard-won lessons of entrepreneurs, builders, and creators. Our YouTube channel is experiencing rapid growth, averaging 1.6M views and +20K new subscribers monthly, and in June, we hit #2 on the Spotify Business Podcast charts. Previous guests include Gary Vee, Scott Galloway, Dave Ramsey, Daymond John, and Jesse Itzler. Codie's podcast appearances as a guest include Diary Of A CEO (3x) and On Purpose with Jay Shetty (3x).
We expect applicants to have elite technical abilities in both editing and motion graphics, exceptional narrative chops, and an ability to craft viral hooks that will win over viewers in the first 5-15 seconds. Exceptional skill in Adobe Premiere and After Effects is required, along with a good sense of pacing and a keen eye for visual storytelling. Taste and technical ability are valued equally.
Our podcast is rooted in conversation, but also embraces the best of modern YouTube-style editing — think punchy infographics, dynamic transitions, clips from classic films, and timely memes.
Our team is in-person and works very quickly. Our workflow is collaborative, and you will be led by a producer who will anticipate roadblocks and remove them so your work is fast, effective, and enjoyable.
- Must live in Austin, TX
- 3+ years of experience editing high-distribution video podcasts
- Exceptional ability in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Deep knowledge of color grading and intermediate knowledge of audio mixing
- Experience managing media assets, file organization, and version control
- Strong eye for storytelling — knowing when to cut, when to pause, and when to punch up a moment.
