Job Summary
We are looking for a copywriter to develop, edit, and publish content for various platforms in collaboration with our marketing team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the mission to dress people authentically!
General Guidelines Around Content Creation
- Follow a monthly content calendar in collaboration with the Director of Content/Founder
- Communicate with the team via internal platforms, such as slack + email
- Adhere to deadlines
- Grammatically correct
- Follows brand guidelines around tone
- Copy should be created with specific word counts and style based on the platform
RESPONSIBILITIES
Email
- Develop the monthly copy for emails
- ~4-5 emails per month
SMS
- Developing engaging captions for social content
- ~4-5 per month
Influencer/ “Dapper Scout” Copy
- Assist with the creation of briefs after conversations with influencers or Dapper Scouts, in tandem with the Director of Content & Founder
- Conduct research into the background of potential Dapper Scouts/influencers
- Develop questions for Dapper Scout features based on the research conducted about their experiences
- Present the brief back to the Director of Content & or Founder for approval. Present to the marketing team after approval
- As needed, usually 2 per month
Blog
- Under the direction of the Director of Content & Web team, refresh current blog posts for updated content, SEO optimization, and product updates
- Create new long-form content on specific topics
- Work with our SEO strategies to create content utilizing the brand’s voice
- As needed, usually 1-2 per month
Product Detail Pages & Landing Pages
- Develop copy for the pdp based on the information provided by the production team and the strategic guidance of Director of Content & Director of Ecommerce
- Ensure you are following the word count and brand voice when creating content
- Frequency is seasonal
Social
- Work in tandem with our social team to develop engaging copy as required.
Required Prior skills/experience/background
- Prior experience creating content for brands
- Strong working knowledge of the word processing platforms
Hybrid Role
- Employee is eligible for 1 day of remote work per week
Pay Range
- $24-28, depending on experience
- Average of 5-15 hours a week
