We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, clarity, and consistency of our written content across various internal platforms. This position requires a passion for language, an eye for detail, and a strong focus on the needs and experience of our end customer: Amazon Operations employees across North America. The successful candidate will play a key role in elevating the quality and impact of our written communications. Key job responsibilities • Edit written content for grammar, clarity, concision, and conversational style • Ensure adherence to Amazon’s internal style guide and AP Stylebook • Craft compelling headlines and email subject lines to maximize impact and engagement • Collaborate with writers and other team members to refine content • Maintain consistency in tone and voice across different content types • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall content quality • Stay updated on language trends and evolving style guidelines About the team Operations Internal Communications is a team of 100+ communicators across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, sharing news updates, need-to-know information, and pride-building storytelling with more than 1 million Amazon Operations employees across the world. This position is focused on North America.

Experience editing for digital platforms and social media
Knowledge of HTML, PPT, Photoshop and other digital formats
Experience with fact-checking and source verification
Background in or understanding of technology, business, or e-commerce industries
Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
