About the Role

We're looking for a part-time Editor to lead content planning and creation for McLean City Lifestyle. You’ll manage each issue’s editorial calendar, work with freelance writers and photographers, and help shape the voice of the magazine. This is a remote role, but you must live within 15–30 miles of McLean or Great Falls so you can stay plugged into the local community.

The role requires about 30 hours a month and pays $900/month to start. You’ll have flexibility in your schedule, and the opportunity to get creative and build relationships within the community.

What You’ll Do

Plan content for each monthly issue
Assign articles and photo shoots to freelance contributors
Write and/or edit stories when needed
Make sure content is on-brand, on-time, and meets quality standards
Coordinate styled shoots and visual storytelling
Communicate regularly with the publisher about editorial direction
Track contributor payments each month

What We’re Looking For

Someone with writing or editing experience (journalism, content creation, blogging, etc.)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and keep things moving
A personable, professional approach to working with others
Comfortable using digital tools for communication and content planning
Local knowledge and interest in McLean/Great Falls community
