Overview:
Diverse Talent is currently working with a client who is seeking to hire a full-time senior associate attorney. A successful candidate should have experience defending cases where Plaintiffs have alleged violations of Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, Wage and Hour law, etc., and Workers’ Compensation Retaliation. The attorney will also be involved with commercial litigation. Besides litigation, the attorney will provide employment law advice and counseling to employers.
The attorney will draft statements of position to the EEOC and CCRD, discovery, and motions to dismiss and for summary judgment. The attorney must be licensed to practice law in Colorado. Being licensed to practice law in additional rocky mountain states is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 + Years’ Experience Required In:
- Defending employers in lawsuits alleging violations of employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA.
- Wage and Hour, ERISA Benefit Litigation, Commercial litigation, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to represent clients in court/arbitrations.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Membership in the Colorado bar or ability to secure membership in the Colorado bar within one year of employment.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary from $130,000 - $150,000 based upon demonstrated qualifications and experience and growth potential. The position provides healthcare benefits, 401(K) plan matching contribution, and Personal Time Off (“PTO”). Compensation based upon experience and growth potential.
