Position Overview
Power FC is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Media & Content Manager to lead our digital storytelling efforts and elevate the club's online presence. This role will drive our brand identity through social media, photography, video production, and web updates. As a key member of the Communications & Marketing team, you will be responsible for creating and executing engaging content that connects with our fans, partners, and broader soccer community.
This position requires flexibility, creativity, and the ability to travel with the team for away games and attend practices and events at the Inova Performance Center.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage content plans for Power FC's social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), ensuring consistent voice and alignment with brand identity.
- Monitor analytics and trends to drive engagement, follower growth, and fan interaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams for promotional campaigns, game-day content, and sponsorship activations.
Content Creation
- Produce high-quality photo and video content to capture team moments, events, and behind-the-scenes stories.
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for social platforms, including highlights, interviews, and promotional materials.
- Maintain a consistent aesthetic and tone across all visual assets.
Digital Storytelling
- Conceptualize and execute storytelling initiatives that highlight Power FC players, staff, and community impact.
- Stay current with emerging trends in social and digital storytelling to keep Power FC at the forefront of innovation.
Website Management
- Assist in maintaining and updating Power FC's website with fresh content, including team news, schedules, and multimedia.
- Optimize content for SEO and web accessibility.
Team Collaboration & Event Coverage
- Travel with the team to away games to capture content and manage live social updates.
- Attend practices, media events, and community outreach initiatives to create engaging content.
- Work closely with the Communications team to align messaging across all platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or a related role (preferably in sports or entertainment).
- Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent) and photo editing tools (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or native platform tools).
- Demonstrated photography and/or videography skills, with a portfolio of past work.
- Experience with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic understanding of SEO principles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and travel with the team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the professional sports landscape.
- Familiarity with the soccer community and fan culture.
- Motion graphics or animation skills.
COMPENSATION
- Based upon qualifications and experience with an anticipated range of $65,000 - $75,000 Annually
