Myers and Woods Appraisal Group is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our appraisal process through conducting research, writing reports, managing communication with clients, and coordinating site visits. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support to the Executive Staff and collaborate closely with Appraisers to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
Minimum Required
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in an office setting
Driver’s license
Responsibilities
Assist in appraisal report writing
Write property descriptions
Conduct real estate sales research
Handle incoming calls and interacting with clients
Perform data entry for real estate sales
Organize appraisal site visits and scheduling
Assist in invoicing and collecting outstanding payments from clients
Write appraisal reports from dictations
Manage miscellaneous Executive Staff requests
Collaborate with Appraisers on their reports
Occasional day trips to view and photograph properties (company vehicle provided)
Requirements
Proficiency in Word
- Includes: Formatting documents, adding headers, footers, and ensuring charts, and images are correctly inserted and labeled, create table of contents, verify references, and proofread for errors.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat (or willing to learn)
- Includes: Editing PDFs, combining PDFs, organizing PDFs, integrating PDFs with Word documents.
Proficiency in Outlook and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven organizational skills – strong attention to detail
Research skills and ability to analyze information
Ability to work independently and solve problems
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work under deadlines
Flexibility to handle impromptu tasks
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
Associate’s degree or higher
Familiarity with real estate and real estate appraisals
Experience with County GIS sites and property identification
An understanding of land features, topography, and land cover
Familiarity using MLS sites
