What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Videographer and Editor to join the Colossal team. This role requires a strong visual storyteller who can execute the Marketing Team’s vision by shooting and editing engaging video content for various platforms, including our competition websites, social media, and marketing campaigns. You’ll work closely with our Media Operations Manager to deliver high-quality videos that align with our brands and resonate with our audiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Filming & Production: Receive shot list and visual plan from the Production Manager, set up and execute video shoots, ensuring high-quality footage and optimal lighting/audio conditions. *Traveling to various locations depending on talent and studio selection
- Editing & Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished, compelling content using industry-standard software (Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Motion Graphics & Effects: Enhance videos with motion graphics, animations, and visual effects when needed.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and organize video production gear, including cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and accessories, after shoots. Videographers are responsible for returning equipment to the studio and ensuring it is plugged in and charged for the next use.
- Multi-Platform Adaptation: Reformat videos for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and other digital channels. We primarily edit in 1x1 and often require reformatting to 9x16 and 16x9 - must keep margins in mind when using animations and text in multiple formats.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.
Our ideal candidate:
- Proven experience as a Videographer and Editor (portfolio or demo reel required).
- Proficiency in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or After Effects.
- Strong understanding of cinematography, composition, and color grading.
- Experience with motion graphics, basic animation, and sound design is a plus.
- Knowledge of camera equipment, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media trends and video content best practices.
Bonus Skills (Preferred, but Not Required):
- Experience with photography and photo editing.
- Drone operation and aerial cinematography skills.
- Live streaming production experience.
