Are you a social-savvy content creator with a Type-A calendar brain and a flair for filming, editing, and repurposing content like a boss?
Do you dream in Reels, write captions in your sleep, and feel a deep spiritual connection to your Google Calendar? If you thrive on strategy, sass, and turning long-form content into scroll-stopping brilliance, you might be our next Social Media Content Specialist.
Back Office Betties is on the hunt for a part-time contractor (est. 20 hrs/month) who’s highly organized, endlessly creative, and ready to manage the content machine that is our CEO—with some sparkle, of course.
This role is mostly remote, with occasional meet-ups to film content (TBD, but think: fun creative days, not endless in-person meetings). You’ll work closely with our CEO and CMO to bring our content strategy to life across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
What You’ll Do:
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Create and manage a strategic content calendar across all major platforms
- Schedule and coordinate regular filming with the CEO
- Oversee post-production and repurposing for social and ads
- Track performance metrics, identify trends, and suggest data-driven improvements
Content Creation & Repurposing
- Planning, coordinating, and managing the regular capture of video content featuring the CEO, including scheduling, filming, and overseeing post-production for use across social channels and paid advertising
- Chop long-form content into bite-sized gems (podcasts, interviews, webinars—you name it)
- Design scroll-worthy visuals, carousels, short-form videos, and on-brand written posts
- Maintain consistency in tone, style, and visual identity
Publishing & Channel Management
- Handle scheduling and publishing via social tools (we love automation, but you’re the brains behind the magic)
- Monitor DMs/comments and support engagement with our audience
- Upload and optimize YouTube content (hello, thumbnails and SEO-friendly descriptions)
Collaboration & Coordination
- Align with our CMO and CEO to keep content efforts on-brand and on-strategy
- Coordinate with team members or vendors as needed to execute the vision
- Keep everything neat and tidy—production timelines, calendars, performance reports—Marie Kondo style
You Might Be Our Person If You:
- Are obsessed with social media in a healthy, goal-oriented way
- Are just as happy in Canva as you are in Google Sheets
- Can wrangle a content calendar like a champ and don’t mind chasing someone down for their next video
- Have killer attention to detail and love a good checklist
- Are proactive, self-starting, and super fun to work with
Core Values:
- Be a Good Human: Do the right thing, even when it’s tough. Act with integrity, prioritize the "we" before the "me," and always focus on what’s right, not who’s right.
- Be a Boss: Take ownership, figure it out, and make it happen. No excuses—just results. Lead the charge and get it done.
- Be a Goal Digger: Dream big, aim high, and exceed expectations. Stay curious, hungry, and always ready to grow. Your A-game is the only game.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, video editing, or digital marketing
- Strong portfolio showcasing your work—especially short-form video content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks)
- Proficiency in content tools like Canva or similar
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook content best practices
- Solid writing and editing skills—you can write a caption that sounds like a human, not a robot
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable planning and capturing video content—either with a team or solo
- Basic understanding of performance metrics and how to translate them into content improvements
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly in a remote setting
- Must be based near Phoenix, AZ, occasional in-person content sessions with our CEO
- Complete our Culture Index. Every applicant must complete our culture index to be considered for employment. You can go here for the survey: https://go.cultureindex.com/p/5GoTl5jFbriz6
