Are you an SEO-savvy strategist with a passion for food content and digital business growth? We’re looking for a highly organized, self-motivated individual to take the lead on SEO, content performance, and customer experience across our portfolio of digital brands — primarily our high-traffic food websites.
This is a multi-faceted role that blends SEO strategy, data analysis, and customer engagement. You’ll be working directly with the founder of multiple recipe websites, a food blogger virtual assistant agency, and a boutique event rental company — with your main focus on the food brands.
What You’ll Do:
SEO & Analytics
- Write recipe posts with extreme attention to detail, existing structure, voice & tone, and SEO and Pinterest best practices. We do not use AI for copywriting, and AI-written applications will be dismissed.
- Audit and optimize content using current SEO best practices and performance tools (e.g., GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMRush)
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to inform content strategy
- Track rankings and traffic trends, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations
- Update and improve existing content for SEO, UX, and monetization
- Coordinate with the content team on seasonal and evergreen opportunities
Business Support & Strategy
- Review site performance and flag issues or opportunities in traffic, monetization, or structure
- Monitor Google Ads and other basic digital marketing tools (training available if needed)
- Collaborate across our brand ecosystem when needed — occasionally assisting with projects for our VA agency or event rentals brand
Customer Experience
- Oversee inbox management and customer communication for our paid/recipe membership side (with a friendly, helpful voice)
- Troubleshoot login or access issues for paid members using site tools (WordPress, email platforms, etc.)
- Provide simple reporting or summaries of feedback/issues from customers and trends
You’ll Thrive If You…
- Have 2+ years experience in SEO, digital content strategy, or analytics — ideally in food, lifestyle, or publishing
- Are confident in Google Analytics, Search Console, and keyword tools
- Know your way around WordPress and basic plugins (or can learn quickly)
- Are a strong communicator who can switch from strategic thinking to detail execution
- Are a self-starter who will update a post because it's simply *time*, rather than waiting for instruction
- Have a knack for problem-solving and figuring things out independently
- Enjoy being part of a small, fast-moving team and wearing a few hats
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with Canva and Notion.
- Previous work in food media, content membership models, or affiliate marketing
- Light design or social media skills (optional, not required)
Hours & Compensation
- The job's hours are flexible for the right candidate, whether that means a full-time role, part-time, or subcontracting.
- Flexible hours, async work style — we care about output and proactivity, not time trackers.
- Pay DOE, in the $53,000-62,000 range for full-time work.
