Manager, Content Marketing
Position Summary:
FedEx is building a modern, customer-centric marketing engine to support the growth of its Digital Solutions portfolio—and we’re looking for a Manager of Content Marketing to lead the way.
This is a foundational role responsible for building our content marketing function from the ground up. You will define and execute a comprehensive content strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of FedEx’s digital offerings. In addition to external content, you will lead customer communications and oversee internal storytelling, including a key newsletter to engage and align internal stakeholders.
This role requires a strong B2B content strategist who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level—balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution. You’ll also build and lead a high-performing team of 5 content creators and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Execution
Develop and own the end-to-end content marketing strategy for FedEx Digital Solutions, aligned with business goals and audience needs.
Build a multi-channel content program across digital, web, social, email, and sales enablement platforms.
Define key content themes, editorial calendars, tone of voice, and brand messaging guidelines for digital solutions.
Customer & Internal Communications
Lead customer-facing communications across lifecycle touchpoints—including newsletters, product updates, feature announcements, and education campaigns.
Create and manage an internal newsletter that informs and engages employees across Sales, Product, and Marketing teams.
Team Leadership
Hire, lead, and develop a team of 5 content professionals, including writers, editors, and content operations specialists.
Establish clear goals, processes, and workflows to scale content production without sacrificing quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product Marketing, Digital, Sales Enablement, and Comms to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
Collaborate with analytics and marketing operations to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and measurement of all content.
Content Performance & Optimization
Define KPIs for content marketing (e.g., awareness, engagement, lead generation) and regularly report on performance.
Use data-driven insights to continuously improve content effectiveness and customer impact.
Qualifications:
8–10+ years of B2B content marketing experience, ideally in a technology, SaaS, logistics, or digital solutions environment.
Proven ability to build and scale a content marketing program from the ground up.
Strong writing, editing, and messaging skills across long-form and short-form content.
Experience managing customer communications and internal storytelling at an enterprise level.
Ability to lead and grow a high-performing content team.
Familiarity with content performance metrics and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS, marketing automation, SEO tools).
Excellent organizational, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
