Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior Editor to join our team as we expand our Warehouse Games IP into a new channel featuring viral challenges. The Senior Editor will also serve as the producer for each episode and will focus solely on producing, shooting and editing all online content posted to the new Jomboy Media YouTube Channel. The candidate will work directly with our EP of Warehouse Games and content team to ensure the tone, editing style and final product is consistent. This position will create high-quality, engaging video content that aligns with our brand and creative strategies. We are seeking a skilled producer and editor combination who possesses a strong technical background in video editing and shooting. The ideal candidate is creative and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is someone who is meticulously organized, with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines. This person is responsible for the success and growth of the IP.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include:
- Be on set in our Jersey City location for warehouse shoots as a key part of our production team and in the NYC office for editing and brainstorming sessions
- Use the full Adobe Suite to produce, edit and deliver captivating and engaging episodic content and game storylines
- Optimize video content for distribution across various platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook, and TikTok while maximizing reach and engagement with the target audience
- Create enticing thumbnails paired with optimized titles and descriptions which will help increase online interest and viewership
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in digital media and social content creation, continuously refining techniques to enhance the quality and effectiveness of produced content
- Collaborate with creators, social, and sales teams to create various forms of shareable content through YouTube Shorts, other platforms and company initiatives
- Identify and keep a consistent tone and edit style for all content
Key Qualities and Qualifications:
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient storytelling abilities with a refined understanding of narrative techniques
- Ability to work and communicate with the production and content teams
- Experience uploading and editing long-form and Shorts for YouTube
- Understand the YouTube algorithm and KPIs such as click thru rate, engagement rate and others
- Experience with organized content management in shared storage space
- Strong communication and schedule and timeline management
- Knowledge of cameras, equipment, and various shooting and editing styles

Compensation
The compensation will be based on a range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn. Compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
