JOB DESCRIPTION
The Content Manager (SEO Strategy Focus) will be responsible for overseeing and implementing SEO-driven content strategies across digital platforms. This role involves managing a team of content creators, aligning content production with SEO best practices, and driving organic growth through strategic content initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, content marketing, and team leadership. This role involves crafting compelling content that resonates with our target audience, driving engagement across various channels, and measuring the impact of our content initiatives. The successful candidate will understand the connection between content and the conversion of readers to leads and sales.
This position works closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure our content supports our business goals and enhances our brand presence. The ’58 Foundations marketing team works as a boutique agency for multiple brands in the home repair space. We are expanding across the United States and looking to bring on a content manager who is excited to help us with our growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content strategies that align with SEO goals to improve organic search rankings, traffic, and conversions.
- Conduct keyword research and SEO audits to identify opportunities for content optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, development) to create high-quality, SEO-friendly content for blogs, websites, landing pages, and other digital assets.
- Manage content production workflows, ensuring timely delivery of optimized content.
- Analyze SEO performance metrics (organic traffic, SERP rankings, conversion rates) and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
- Perform competitive analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities.
- Provide training and guidance to content creators on SEO writing techniques.
- Manage on-page SEO elements (meta tags, headers, URLs, internal linking) to maximize visibility.
- Oversee content audits to keep site content relevant and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and search intent.
- Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for SEO purposes.
- Writing/Editing Skills:
- Excellent command of the English language and superior editing skills.
- Experience in creating and managing SEO-friendly content.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to interpret SEO data and analytics, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
- Project Management:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with experience in managing content calendars and editorial workflows.
- Communication Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate complex SEO strategies to non-technical team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating content for various formats (blog posts, social media, email, video, etc.).
- Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and how they relate to content structure and SEO.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and CRO (conversion rate optimization).
- Experience in local SEO and mobile optimization.
