Fuse Fundraising is a consulting agency that supports nonprofits through direct response fundraising strategy. As a copywriter, you have a talent for authentic storytelling — and are responsible for the ideation, creation, and development of engaging content that brings our clients’ missions to life. Working in a collaborative, team-based environment, the copywriter reports to the VP, Creative Director.
Experience and Capabilities:
- Relevant work experience in direct response fundraising
- Ability to create content that supports fundraising strategy with a donor-centric approach across print, direct mail, digital, and social channels in a variety of non-profit sectors
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills – must be able to handle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Conceptualize content solutions with limited direction
- Curious and solution-focused with the ability to be nimble
- Ability to collaborate and be a supportive team member
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years copywriting experience; agency experience preferred
- Portfolio with relevant work samples
- Strong understanding of print production and direct mail
- Understanding of best practices in direct mail and digital advertising channels
- Must be able to vary messaging and tone across audiences and brands
- Ability to strongly present rationale and intent behind creative execution
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Embraces teamwork and develops effective relationships with others to inspire and support the team
