Do you have a strong marketing background and experience crafting campaigns that drive audience engagement and brand awareness? Join us as a Marketing Manager, where you’ll play a key role in expanding the reach and influence of webcomics and webnovels.
This role will report to the CFO, and collaborate cross-functionally with the Content, Product, and Global Communications teams to execute marketing strategies that enhance Tapas' presence in the market. Additionally, you will oversee a small team, including the Social Media Manager and Social Media & Publicity contractor, to ensure alignment across marketing and engagement efforts.
Based in Los Angeles, this position adheres to our hybrid office work policy, requiring employees to be in the office three days a week for collaborative work and allowing flexibility for remote work on the remaining days.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and audience engagement in North America
- Brand & Content Marketing: Craft compelling brand messaging, title marketing strategies, and promotional materials to support webcomics and webnovels
- Digital & Social Media Marketing: Manage and optimize social media strategies, influencer collaborations, and community engagement across key platforms
- Partnerships & Industry Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with media, industry partners, and content creators to expand Tapas’ reach
- PR & Media Relations (Bonus): Support media outreach, PR messaging, and press initiatives in partnership with the Korean HQ as needed
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, or audience engagement, preferably in entertainment, publishing, or digital content
- Proven success in developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, content marketing, and audience growth strategies
- Experience managing social media platforms, influencer partnerships, and online community engagement
- Passion for webcomics, webnovels, Korean culture, manga, and anime
- Ability to use data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize performance
- Bonus: Experience in PR, media relations, or corporate branding is a plus but not required
- Bonus: Korean language proficiency is a plus but not required
