About the Role:

Join Yardi as an Associate Editor, where you’ll create compelling content for Commercial Property Executive (CPE) and Multi-Housing News (MHN). In this role, you’ll write and edit news and feature stories, develop trend-driven content, and cover industry events through articles, videos, and social media. You’ll collaborate with teams to generate ideas, conduct research, and produce high-quality multimedia content that engages audiences. If you’re passionate about storytelling, have a knack for writing, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this is your chance to make an impact in the real estate publishing industry.

What You’ll Do:

Report and write news stories based on assignments; suggest news stories
Develop, research, report, and write news, features, and department stories
Generate and develop ideas, leads, and sources
Write content about “beat” areas, including news, Q&As, listicles, and trend stories for Publishing products
Attend and cover industry events (written content, tweets, video interviews, etc.)
Promote CPE and MHN via social media
Produce and edit video content and podcasts
Edit news and other content or manage projects as assigned
Assist as needed with other editorial tasks

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
Entry level to one (1) year of professional experience reporting, writing, or editing for trade or
consumer websites, newspapers, or magazines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to be flexible
Strong organizational and planning skills
Research skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment

Ideal to Have:

Knowledge of business, finance, or real estate a plus
