Successful candidates will independently and aggressively find and report high-quality stories across a range of celebrity and entertainment topics.
Current beat opportunities include Hallmark, Dancing With the Stars, Real Housewives/Bravo, HGTV, MTV, Survivor, Big Brother, The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, Soaps, Food TV, Star Trek, Broadway, late-night shows, daytime talk shows and weekend reporting.
We’re looking for:
- Deep knowledge of and passion for celebrity and entertainment news.
- Ability to quickly navigate social media to spot breaking news and find information.
- Huge appetite for pageviews driven by quality content.
- Clean, fast writing with an instinct for headline writing and SEO.
- Knowledge of Canva and/or Photoshop.
- Strong multi-tasking and communication skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Writing multiple articles daily on breaking and trending stories.
- Identifying traffic-generating opportunities across celebrity and entertainment topics.
- Collaborating with editors to develop sharp, impactful coverage.
This is a remote freelance role. Compensation scales with performance.
