POSITION SUMMARY:
The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Video Producer/Editor to join our growing content team. While this role will support various stages of production, it will primarily focus on editing dynamic video content that drives the league’s storytelling and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate brings creativity, originality, and a strong eye for detail to help amplify the PWHL brand across digital platforms, in-arena, and broadcast. Working with footage captured by the league’s content team, the Senior Video Producer/Editor will shape compelling narratives, contribute to content strategy, and continuously look for fresh, engaging ways to spotlight the league, its teams, and its players. This role will work closely with the Brand and Marketing team at both the league and team level to drive storytelling and engaging content that aligns with the PWHL’s brand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the execution of engaging video content for the league and its teams across all platforms, bringing originality, imagination, and fresh ideas to each project

Manage and produce high-quality content both on assignment and in fast-paced, on-the-fly situations with minimal supervision

Oversee league content freelancers, including booking, managing shot lists, and delivering content captured

Edit a wide range of video content, including features, hype videos, highlights, promotions, recaps, interviews, campaign launches, and other on-demand assets, optimized for social, web, app, broadcast, and in-arena platforms, while ensuring all content engages viewers, reflects the league’s brand, and adheres to established standards

Manage the logging and archiving of video content and the overall digital asset management system for the league. Ensure that logging is consistent across the league and all teams

Uphold high production value and brand consistency across all content and platforms.

Service video requests from Brand & Marketing, Partnerships, Ticketing, PR and Communications, Community and Merchandise teams as needed

Maintain a consistent and current knowledge of the PWHL league, players, storylines, and the overall landscape to assist with identifying and driving storytelling

Collaborate with other content partners internally and externally as needed

Perform sound design, color correction, and finishing techniques to ensure polished final deliverables

Travel to games and league events to capture footage and deliver timely, high-impact content

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience producing and editing video content across social media, broadcast, or other distribution platform in sports or entertainment

Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro; strong proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop

Expertise in color correction of LOG footage

Thorough understanding of and ability to use video production equipment

Hardworking, collaborative, focused, and creative with a proactive approach

Receptive to notes and feedback throughout the editing process

Excellent time management while meeting assigned deadlines

Must have a strong grasp of the latest video editing techniques and visual trends, and how those apply to social and digital platforms

Salary: $70K-80K USD DOE
