Your role:
Working as a member of the Global Relay Marketing team, you will be responsible for writing compelling copy that amplifies Global Relay’s leadership in the compliance technology space.
As part of the Brand Marketing team for Global Relay, you will develop persuasive, engaging copy for myriad marketing and communications channels, including PR, internal and external communications. You will also be expected to write and review email campaigns, website content, product collateral, events, and social media. You will write and edit copy so that it aligns with our business goals, messaging, and brand voice.
You will be part of a team of branding and communications creators that articulate Global Relay’s mission, values, and services. The kind of technologies you’ll create written materials for include compliant communications, cloud computing, and SaaS archiving services, Artificial Intelligence, & Machine Learning, as well as a host of other innovative, cutting-edge solutions.
Your responsibilities:
- Working with the Head of Communications on communication strategy, creating and distributing information, reviewing social media, crafting press releases, and coordinating public relations
- Develop and write compelling marketing copy for a variety of channels and formats including social, print, video, and online
- Copyedit and proof written materials across Marketing department to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
- Collaborating with copy requestors to ensure their project briefs clearly define scope and desired outcomes
- Conduct research on personas, target audiences, and competitors
- Promote Global Relay products and services in a way that is consistent with Global Relay’s brand and positioning
- Follow and enforce AP stylebook in writing and copyediting
- Stay up to date on marketing and communications trends and best practices
- Collaborate with colleagues from across marketing departments to ensure branding and messaging is consistent across all materials
About you:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing and communications writing
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong copy-editing and proofing skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
- Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
- Experience in creating consistent communications messaging, helping a business to maintain a positive public imagine, aligning communications strategies with overall business objectives
- Ability to independently research and quickly understand unfamiliar topics, issues, and technical concepts to craft into engaging, creative messaging and taglines
- Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice
- High level of comfort working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities, managing copy requests from Marketing and other departments
- Flexibility to take on new assignments and responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communication, or related field; or applicable work experience
Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.
The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values. Employees receive annual allotted vacation days, which increase based on tenure. New York - Base Salary Range:
$80,000—$100,000 USD
