Brief Description
FreshDirect is looking to strengthen its digital voice and connect more meaningfully with both loyal and future audiences. We’re seeking a Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our social presence across platforms. This role will be central to developing and executing content strategies that build brand relevance, drive measurable engagement, and keep us at the forefront of the cultural conversation.
The right candidate is equal parts strategist and creator — someone who understands how to blend data, design, and storytelling into content that moves the needle. They will maximize audience interaction, build community, and bring FreshDirect’s voice to life across every platform.
Objectives of this role
- Deepen engagement with existing audiences through consistent, high-quality content
- Expand reach and grow social following by identifying untapped content opportunities
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand identity and tracks with cultural trends
- Boost return on investment by refining content targeting and frequency
- Explore and test new platforms and channels that support long-term growth
- Leverage analytics to draw actionable insights and refine social strategy
Responsibilities
- Develop and publish daily content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms
- Design and lead social media campaigns that support brand, product, and partnership goals
- Act as the voice of FreshDirect in all community engagement — from DMs to comment threads
- Monitor social performance, adjust strategy in real time, and provide regular reports to internal teams
- Work closely with design, copy, and marketing leads to ensure creative alignment and campaign integration
- Stay informed on social trends, algorithm updates, and platform shifts to keep the brand culturally sharp
- Define and refine KPIs to measure content performance and inform future planning
Skills And Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a social media or digital content role
- Strong working knowledge of all major social platforms and content formats
- Ability to think creatively while executing within brand guidelines
- Solid understanding of performance metrics and social analytics
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience juggling multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with tools like Sprout Social, Later, Meta Business Suite, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading a brand’s social presence from strategy to execution
- Strong content instincts with a track record of driving audience growth and engagement
- Familiarity with creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Comfortable working with CMS, CRM, and project management tools (like Monday.com or Asana)
- Experience with paid social strategy, influencer marketing, or UGC sourcing
