Duration: 5 months of Contract + Possible extensions, This could be a long term role
Work Schedule: Onsite/ Can work from home 4 days a month allowed based on business need, 9 AM - 6 PM
Note: Will have to provide writing samples after the 1st interview - such as Articles, White Papers etc.
- Must have financial services experience and working on topics such as (Deals, M&A, Capital Markets)
- Person will be responsible for proofreading other peoples work and editing other material
- Will work with all other business units to include Social Media, Editorial, end user community etc.
- Will do research, editorial review, Drive campaigns, create video scripts.
- Must be a strong writer
- May have to work overtime if needed to meet deadlines
The Position
- We are seeking an ambitious and creative Content Writer and Strategic Marketing professional to work in the Investment & Corporate Banking division of Americas reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Business Marketing. This position plays a key function in the creation of the content strategy, conducting business and market research, writing thought leadership articles and developing executive communications.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong intellectual curiosity, interest and understanding in finance, banking and markets and demonstrate depth and breadth of business writing. He/she will have experience originating themes, researching and developing data driven thesis and writing business and finance content for corporate and professional audiences. They will also play a role in originating, developing and executing content published in various channels including email, web, video and podcasts.
- The individual must be an excellent team player and be able to collaborate effectively with a talented team of internal professionals and vendor partners – across PR, digital marketing, video production, conferences/events and creative services -- to support the business and brand objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of Business Marketing to develop content strategy and calendar including identification of thematic stories and creation of content for our marketing campaign pillars
- Support the business marketing through generation of thought leadership for internal and external stakeholders
- Perform in-depth research on market, banking, sector and product trends to identify key thematic ideas and points of view. Must be able to originate ideas and provide supporting facts toward the written thesis
- Research and write thought leadership content that will be used in articles, whitepapers and sector/product presentations
- Work directly with executive management in the creation of speeches and talking points for use in industry panels, public speaking engagements, press and internal town halls and presentations
- Draft internal executive communications including new hire announcements, promotion announcements and important staff communications
- Research and draft topical speaking notes, speaker series Q&A, video scripts and podcast interviews used in our marketing and communications
- Write and update website copy and social media quote cards and postings
- Contribute to the creation of business qualifications used for client marketing and recruiting
- Develop communications and presentations based on management’s request
Requirements/Qualifications
- BA, MBA or MS degree
- 5-10 years’ experience in financial institutions or business publications
- Experience in writing and supporting business communication including the research of in-depth data-based content
- Superior oral/written communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to details in work product
- Ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with limited supervision.
- Strong drive and motivation to excel
- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets and financial services
- Exceptional professionalism and confidence demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and navigate a matrixed environment.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to quickly assess and pivot to high priority items
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Adhere to the policies regarding communication with the public
- Obtain and seek necessary approvals for communications with key stakeholders including legal, compliance, corporate communications and licensed supervisor
- Ability to effectively communicate with and present ideas to senior management and bankers
- Must be able to take a leadership role in driving work product and be a team player in a professional manner
