POSITION OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this role is to assist the Content team in ensuring that all content creation processes run smoothly, effectively, and on schedule, while leveraging data to assess performance, optimize strategies, and maximize the impact of content. Working closely with social media managers, videographers, photographers, designers, and other cross-functional teams, the Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, optimization, and delivery of Club content while ensuring all content aligns with strategic goals, and is consistent with the Club’s brand.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Play a crucial role in ensuring that all content creation processes run smoothly, effectively, and on schedule:
- Assist with the planning and execution of content initiatives and marketing campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines, quality standards, and organizational objectives.
- Partner with various cross-functional departments to ensure that content and social media briefs and efforts align with the Content teams’ broader brand marketing, channel strategies, and KPIs
- Collaborate with wider Marketing campaigns team to develop content strategies and manage content project timelines for larger marketing moments
- Develop and maintain deadlines and milestones for content production, from ideation and creation to final approval and publishing
- Evaluate performance metrics across different platforms and recommend improvements and optimizations specific to the platform's audience and algorithm
- Use segmentation data to inform content plans for specific user groups to drive higher engagement
- Oversee the creation of content (graphics, videos, photos, etc.) to ensure it meets the organization's quality standards, brand voice, and compliance guidelines
- Proactively identify potential project risks or delays and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal disruption to the timeline and final output
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new tools, and content strategies to ensure the team’s approach remains fresh and effective in an ever-evolving digital landscape
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project success
WHO YOU ARE:
- 1-3 years of experience in project planning or content strategy, sports and social media industry experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Asana)
- Knowledge of content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Slate)
- Passion for sports and a strong understanding of the digital content landscape
- Familiarity with influencer partnerships and content creation in the sports industry.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC

COMPENSATION:
This non-exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $50,000 – $ 55,000 and is eligible for overtime. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
